Architects Act 2002 – 23 September 2013

Architects Regulation 2003 – 1 July 2015

Summary

An individual may apply to the Board of Architects of Queensland for registration as an architect. Once registered, they are to be guided by the code of practice.

  • Sections 7, 8, 108, 112, Schedule 2 of the Act

A person who is aggrieved by an architect’s conduct in carrying out architectural services may make a complaint about the conduct to the Board of Architects of Queensland.

  • Sections 7, 37, 77, 80, Schedule 2 of the Act
Reason for law

To protect the public by ensuring architectural services of an architect are provided in a professional and competent way. (Section 3)
