Summary

A body may apply in the approved form for registration as a trading or non-trading cooperative. Once registered, the body will receive a certificate of registration. Approved model rules for cooperatives are attached to the Regulation.

Reason for law

To provide a legislative framework for the formation, registration and management of cooperatives that enables flexibility in the operation of cooperatives and promotes the development of cooperatives. (Section 3)
