Queensland Independent Remuneration Tribunal Act 2013 – 1 June 2015

The Queensland Independent Remuneration Tribunal is established and has the power to make determinations about remuneration in connection with members and former members of the Legislative Assembly. In making a determination, the tribunal may have regard to following: the value to the community of a member of the Assembly carrying out the member’s role, functions and responsibilities; the importance of a member being appropriately remunerated for carrying out the member’s role, functions and responsibilities, etc. Note: Positions which may be entitled to an additional salary entitlement are specified in section 42 of the Act.
